The AG Gießen is a meeting point for currently about 25 food chemistry students in all phases of the education up to the state exam, where various social activities and educational events are organized.
Those activities are for instance joint barbecues or excursions to companies like the brewery Bosch or Chr. Hansen, a producer of starting cultures. Events concerning job opportunities are organized, especially for those students who are about to finish their studies. The start into studying food chemistry is supported by the AG as well. Most mentors in the introduction week are AG members of higher semesters who help you to get into the AG network and make contacts with other students. Interdisciplinary events like the summer party or the Christmas lecture are organized in cooperation with the students’ council and the JCF.
Therefore, the AG is the contact partner for all students and any questions can be directed to giessen@ag-jlc.de. Of course, you are very welcome to join our next meeting, each first Monday of the month during terms.
